When Kay and Austin suggested the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival as the location for their engagement session, I was beyond excited! It’s no secret that we’ve been having what seemed like an endless rainy season this year in Oregon, but I loved the idea of shooting in a location where, even if it rained, we’d have some bright and colorful signs of spring! Thankfully the rain held out for most of the session, and even though we all got a little rained on at the end it wasn’t a deterrent to capturing these beautiful portraits.

Austin and Kay’s relationship is so sweet, and I loved getting to know them a little bit through this session. Before their session, I asked them both to tell me one thing they loved about each other. Kay said that she loved most that Austin is always able to make her laugh, even during moments where she’s mad at him. Austin’s ability to make Kay laugh definitely came through during their session and allowed them both to feel comfortable and at ease. Despite warning me that they both actually hated having their photos taken, they were complete naturals in front of the camera!
