I say this often, but one of my favorite parts of doing this work is connecting with people and building new relationships. I love every opportunity I get to meet new people, and it’s especially fun when I get to work with fellow vendors and industry peers! Even though it can be a bit intimidating to photograph a fellow photographer, I was so excited when Heidi came to me with her vision for a Mommy & Me session with sweet Kianna!

Having my own little two year old, I can so relate to the desire to freeze this part of life and hold on to those special moments forever! A session dedicated to capturing your bond with your little one, their quirks and toddler-isms, and the little details that make up your relationship, is the perfect way to do that!

As we chatted over Starbucks, Heidi told me of the sweet moments that she wanted to preserve before Kianna grew out of this stage of her childhood; the way Kianna looks up at her and how she runs her little fingers through Heidi’s hair while nursing, the smile that spreads across Kianna’s face as they laugh and play together, and overall, the special bond that they share as mother and daughter. With those moments in mind, we spent an evening frolicking and playing in the long grass at Mt. Pisgah, capturing all the love and happiness that these two share.
