Morgan Maternity Session | Salem

July 2, 2019

You may have noticed that we quietly took down the motherhood side of our website during the redesign last year. It was a tough decision to make because maternity and newborn sessions hold such a special place in my heart. But I knew it would be necessary for us to achieve the goals we’ve set for this business. For now, we’ve put a pin in that side of things, though we hope to bring it back someday. In the meantime, I have loved getting to photograph maternity sessions here and there as the opportunities come to us. Thankfully we’ve had the joy of photographing two Salem maternity sessions just in the last week!

It’s especially sweet when I get to work with returning clients and watch their families grow! Gretchen and I met a few years ago when she modeled for me during her first pregnancy and I was so excited when she got in touch to let me know she was expecting again and wanted to schedule another maternity session! It’s been great to see her little family grow each time we’ve had a session together, and now as they prepare to welcome another little boy to the world.

Since moving, I have loved getting to explore and find new favorite spots around Salem for sessions. I’ve wanted to do a session at the Union Street Bridge for a while now so it was my first choice for this Salem maternity session. It has gorgeous dark beams and a rustic charm that I knew would give the perfect vibe to these images. Not to mention, it also has public bathrooms, which you know is always a plus when photographing pregnant mamas!
