Beautiful Wedding at The Evergreen

IT WAS A RAINY SEPTEMBER DAY BUT THAT DIDN’T STOP THIS FROM BEING THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WEDDING AT THE EVERGREEN!

Becca and Lane got married in September at the stunning Evergreen, which is a newly renovated industrial ballroom in downtown Portland. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day! Becca and Lane chose to have their wedding at the Evergreen because of its beautiful red brick and vintage industrial vibes. They said they just fell in love with it when they saw it!

Getting Ready

Becca got ready at GLAM Beauty Bar with all of her closest girls, while Lane got ready at a separate location with his guys. Afterward, we met Becca and Lane at the Evergreen to photograph their finishing touches and getting ready details as they prepared to see each other for the first time.

Becca wore a beautiful all-over lace dress gown which she found at Sincerely the Bride. Lane wore a navy three-piece suit provided by Mr. Formal. They looked so incredible together and fit perfectly with the vibe at the Evergreen. All of the flowers, including Becca’s bouquet, were beautifully arranged by her mom and I’m still so impressed with her talent!

When they were both ready, Becca walked out to see Lane for the very first time on their wedding day. They shared a few special minutes together taking in all that was about to happen.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was so beautiful and took place in the main ballroom space at the Evergreen. Their altar was handmade by Lane’s family and stunningly decorated with flowers arranged by Becca’s mom. During the ceremony, they had a friend share a special scripture reading. They also chose to have a sand unity ceremony as a symbol of the commitment they were making to join their lives together. It was so beautiful and such a personal ceremony.

After the Ceremony

The reception took place in the same room as the ceremony. So while the guests mingled and the ballroom was reset for the reception, we went outside to photograph the wedding party and bride and groom portraits.

For dinner, they served a taco bar provided by Stella Taco and catered by Spork Bytes. It was absolutely delicious! We love, love, love tacos (who doesn’t) and Ted was especially excited about the house-made salsa! After dinner, friends and family shared beautiful well-wishes and advice for the newlyweds, which even had me misty-eyed. The rain let up right as the light outside was fading so we finished off the evening by sneaking out to get a few more photos of the bride and groom.
